Food in my Backyard

At the end of Oct. beginning of Nov. there was a huge food fair in my backyard. I could come out every night to eat Chiang Mai's best food :0) There are just rows and rows of stalls to buy food.
I couldn't get the greatest picture of all the bikes but imagine this picture X 500. There were bikes everywhere.
This is a picture of the food court. It was loud and crowded, but the best was yet to come ;0)
Don't worry, this was not it. Anybody hungry??? Not exactly grilled to perfection
Some Chicken and Thai dishes....of course like any fair the prices were a little off the wall.
Fried chicken leg, fried chicken breast, fried popcorn spicy chicken...fried chicken fat....oh yes, there is nothing wasted in Thailand...even the fat is a appreciated :0p Have I emphasized "fried" enough, becuase you really don't know Thailand until you know this word.
ahh, something familiar...well I think...
So it was quite dissapointing to find only one ride...but I can't complain...it is called a food fair. Every one only goes to a fair for the great food anyway right?? Besides, even this ride looked a little shady...
You should have seen this in person...they looked like cages. They reminded me of the really old horror flicks with abandoned fair grounds. As much as I love fairus wheels...I opted out on this one.
But they had great games. I have to be honest, I have never played a single game at a fair. I've always been too busy enjoying the rides and using the most of the fifteen dollor Bracelet Night. So this was my first fair I "'stepped' right up." The darts were my favorite :0)
Ok so before when I mentioned the bikes...well there are people riding those bikes, sometimes three at a time...in other words, there were a lot of people.
I swear the cans were weighted.
Well, after the upteenth try and too much baht(money) later I returned to the house, wagging my snake behind me. What can I say...beginners luck.

Nu's Baptism

Just this Sunday Nu was baptised. It was such a blessing to see the whole thing. She's know situated in a Thai church and learning about the Lord more and more. Two of her families were represented there that day. Her church family and the Centre family. It was such a blessing to know that the Lord used the Centre to play a role in this. Here are some great pics.
There were also 5 others baptised.

Youth Service at CMCC

YOUTH WORSHIP TEAM Chiang Mai Community Church put's on a youth service once a month. The youth will lead the worship and the Youth Pastor will give the sermon. I was so blessed by these teens. It made me miss my work at home, but I was so glad I was able to be at this service and see what's happening with our teens in the church. So much potential...so much gifting and talents. Pray for our Youth. That they'd let their lights shine. Amanda gave testimony about her time spent at Agape Orphanage. She's been investing in the lives of one little girl for three years. She visits often and plays with her. Amanda attends Grace Christian school hear in Chiang Mai. Her parents are in Bible Translation work. This young man spent his summer in Singapore with Youth with a Mission. He was involved in street and open air evangelism and helped in the media departments helping to build websites. God's possibilities are endless...you just got to be willing to use your gifts and talents anywhere.

Space Night

So this Friday we had our space night...It was really cool... especially when it that dark and the black lights were on. The night was filled with obsticle courses, Metiorite relays and an Alien vs. Human version of Sardines. The night ended with a testimony from one of the IGO students that come to help every Friday. Mike shared about his salvation and also about his brother's and Dad's death, and how through the experiences, it brought him closer to the Lord. The night was lively and we were busy all week with decorations, but it was fun. Enjoy the photos :0)
This is not all who were there...
Me and Apple---We look cooler under the black light :0)

Coffee Level Redo

So last week some of our staff was away and many of the students had exams. This left a lot of time for those left at the Centre to do some projects. It all started with Josh and Jamie wanting to redo the Coffee Level menu board. After an entire afternoon the guys were still trying to decide on the right font. :)) The next day they finally decided on one. They decided on curly lettering; actually, for guys they didn't do all that bad :0) The final product However, the guys were still board out of their minds and thought what a cool idea it would be to repaint the entire coffee level a different color while Krista (who runs our coffee level) is away. As well as the fact we had so much time on our hands and everyone else was gone. So after much debate and consideration we went through with it. I spent last Sat. painting our coffee level with Josh and Jamie. Hear are the before and after photos...and some others ;0) We decided on a deep red. We thought that most coffee shops have darker tones. We wanted to make it with a more homey feel. Kris and I decided on the red and the guys went to get it. I have to say, I've never been more impressed with guys who got so close to the color we were thinking. :0) Of course trimming comes first... This next photo pretty much explains what MY afternoon was like. I did all the ceilling trimings and "hard to reach with a normal paint brush" area. I spent my day on a ladder pretty much. We did all the red first... Again, "hard to reach places" :0) Now we're seeing it come together ;0) Yes, for all you experts...we did get that blue showing behind the air conditioner. :0) I found an interesting bug... Michelle's getting tired...:)) Jamie and Josh still going strong :0) Ok moving onto the black...everything yellow must turn black... Josh even tried my job for a bit...I don't think he liked it very much :) Yeah still on the ladder... Ahhh...a nice sharp look... Ok so the final product of phase two of Coffee Level Redo... So everyone must know that Krista has still not returned from her trip and she has no idea we've done this to the coffee level. :0) What's that saying about "do it now, and ask forgiveness later." ;0) This next photo is for my cousin Chanelle. Chanelle insisted that there are way too many peace signs in Thailand photos, and that I should shake things up a bit and throwing a "rocker" sign in there once in a while. So Chanelle, this one's for you :0))
